ISLAMABAD, Sep 03 (EPI): National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has expressed deep sorrow over the destruction caused by floods across the country and extended condolences to the affected families.<\/p>\n
He prayed for those who lost their lives in the calamity.<\/p>\n
The Speaker also appreciated the ongoing rescue and relief operations, praising the Pakistan Army along with federal and provincial institutions for their swift response.<\/p>\n
He said flood-affected families would not be left alone in this difficult hour.<\/p>\n
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq paid rich tribute to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, noting that her visits to flood-hit areas had boosted the morale of relief workers and comforted victims.<\/p>\n
He described her direct monitoring of relief operations as a \u201ccommendable strategy\u201d ensuring timely assistance.<\/p>\n
He announced that he would soon visit areas along the River Ravi to meet victims personally. Rehabilitation of flood-affected families, he added, was a \u201cnational duty\u201d that must be carried out with collective resolve.T<\/p>\n
