ISLAMABAD, Dec 01 (EPI): The Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) today held an impactful art exhibition in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA).<\/p>\n
The exhibition, themed \u201cWorkplace Harassment \u2014 Breaking the Silence,\u201d brought together artists, students, professionals, and rights advocates from across the country to spark dialogue, encourage accountability, and promote safer workplaces in Pakistan.<\/p>\n
The exhibition showcased over 250 remarkable entries across three categories \u2014 Handmade Posters, Digital Art, and Short Videos, which FOSPAH received through their nationwide art competition.<\/p>\n
Participants used art as a bold medium to challenge stigma, amplify survivors\u2019 voices, and call for systemic change. The entries were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges from PNCA, including Saba Zia, Noshaba Naz, and Sarah Rajper, whose expertise added immense value to the jury process.<\/p>\n
Addressing the audience, the Honorable Federal Ombudsperson Ms. Fauzia Viqar emphasized the critical role of public engagement in dismantling harmful norms that enable harassment. \u201cCreating awareness is the first step,\u201d she noted. \u201cThrough initiatives like this exhibition, we aim to break the silence\u2014together.\u201d<\/p>\n
The event was honored by the presence of Federal Minister for Law & Justice, Azam Nazeer Tarar, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his remarks, he highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts to ensure safe and respectful workplaces, acknowledging that both strong legal frameworks and public engagement are essential for sustainable change.<\/p>\n
He appreciated FOSPAH\u2019s continued initiatives aimed at strengthening protections and awareness nationwide.<\/p>\n
In addition to the Chief Guest, the Guests of Honour included Lt General Nigar Johar, UN Women Country Representative Jamshed Qazi, and DG PNCA\u00a0 Ayub Jamali, whose presence added further distinction to the event and reaffirmed broad institutional support for combating workplace harassment.<\/p>\n
The exhibition brought together senior government officials, diplomats, civil society representatives, media personnel, and young artists.<\/p>\n
The presence of esteemed guests added prestige to the occasion, and their continued support underscores the collective commitment to advancing gender equality and workplace dignity.<\/p>\n
