SCBAP condemns barbaric attack by Israel on Palestine, Gaza Strip.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 11 (EPI): Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan (SCBAP) on Wednesday has strongly condemned recent barbaric attack carried out by Israel on Palestine and the Gaza Strip.
According to the statement issued Barrister Abid S.Zuberi President, Muqtedir Akhtar Shabbir Secretary and the 25th Executive Committee of Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan (SCBAP) have strongly condemned in the strongest possible terms, the recent barbaric attack carried out by Israel on Palestine and the Gaza Strip.
The relentless Israeli bombardment of Gaza has resulted in the tragic loss of hundreds of innocent civilian lives and countless injuries. What is even more distressing is Israel’s declaration of a total siege on Gaza, denying humanitarian aid to those in desperate need. This callous action is inhumane and unacceptable.
“We are deeply concerned by the unsettling silence of the Muslim world in the face of this grave crisis. It is imperative for the international community, and especially the Muslim nations, to come forward openly in support of the state of Palestinian and its people who are enduring unimaginable suffering” they opined.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque holds profound significance in the hearts of Muslims worldwide as the Qibla-e-Awal. The attacks on this sacred place are not just an assault on a physical structure but also an assault on the beliefs and values of Muslims worldwide. Such actions cannot be tolerated.
They said that the Palestinian people, including innocent men, women, and children, are not armed and are left defenseless in the face of this overwhelming force. This is a gross violation of human rights and international law. They urged the international community to resolve the issue of Gaza (Palestine) in light of the longstanding resolutions passed by United Nations.
We call upon the international community to act swiftly and decisively to put an end to this violence and to ensure the protection of innocent lives. Particularly, we call upon the government of Pakistan to extend all humanitarian and other possible support and aid for the liberation of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Our hearts go out to the Palestinian people, and we stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time.
