Masses rebelling against outdated, ineffective & oppressive system, Dr. Tariq Saleem
ISLAMABAD, Nov 02 (EPI): Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab, Dr. Tariq Saleem, has said that Jamaat-e-Islami’s upcoming Ajtma e Aam at Minar-e-Pakistan will be the largest in the country’s history, with participation from millions of men and women representing all walks of life.
Addressing party officials and workers during an organizational Visit to various districts, Dr. Tariq Saleem stated that the historic Ajtma e Aam, November 21 to 23, will serve as a precursor to changing the existing exploitative system.
He announced that delegates from 80 countries, including representatives of Islamic movements from around the world, will attend the grand event. He said that Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, will present a comprehensive program for systemic change rather than merely changing faces.
Participants from Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Hazara, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan will join the gathering, rising above divisions of color, ethnicity, and sectarianism.
“The people are fed up with the outdated, ineffective, and oppressive system and are now rebelling against it,” Dr. Tariq Saleem asserted. He added that under the slogan of ‘Change the System’, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman will announce a plan of action for peaceful national resistance and struggle during the gathering. Highlighting the success of Jamaat-e-Islami’s “Banu Qabal” program, Dr. Tariq Saleem said it has set new records of popularity across the country, with two million young boys and girls registered.
“This shows that even without being in power, Jamaat-e-Islami is working for the nation more effectively than those in government,” he remarked.
He emphasized that in the prevailing situation, the nation—especially the youth—must rise to struggle against the obsolete system and strive for progress in education and skills.
Dr. Tariq Saleem concluded that the Minar-e-Pakistan Ajtma e Aam will be a decisive event for the country’s future, organized under the slogan of “Change the System.” He reiterated that Jamaat-e-Islami, with the strength and support of the youth, aims to end the system of oppression and exploitation prevailing in Pakistan.
