PTI condemns Aleema Khanum’s arrest

ISLAMABAD, Aug 20 (EPI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has condemned the arrest of Aleema Khanum from outside her home.

Accirding to a srarement PTI has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf condemns in the strongest terms the illegal arrest of Aleema Khanum from outside her home. This is not law. This is an illegal arrest. This is cowardice and a deliberate attempt to worsen the situation.

PTI said Maryam Nawaz never tires of claiming that women are a “red line.” Today that slogan stands exposed.

An elderly lady ,the sister of an imprisoned former Prime Minister ,has been illegally arrested from her doorstep because she refused to stay silent about her brother’s illegal detention, solitary confinement, and denied medical care. If women are a red line, why is an old woman being subjected to an illegal arrest? Why is a sister being punished for demanding what the Constitution and the courts already require?

By this illegal arrest the Form-47 government wants to create trouble by design. This is a calculated attempt to deteriorate the situation, provoke a reaction, and then hide its own illegitimacy behind “law and order.” This is not justice. This is a manufactured crisis.
The Form-47 government is fully responsible for this illegal arrest. Those who occupy power without a mandate own this crime.

We will not tolerate this illegal arrest. We demand her immediate release.
A government that cannot answer the people on the streets now answers a woman’s voice with force. That is not strength. That is fear.

PTI demands Aleema Khanum’s immediate release, disclosure of her whereabouts, and her safe production before a competent court. End this campaign of intimidation against Imran Khan’s family.  PTI demanded that release Aleema Khanum now. The Form-47 government will be held responsible.
