Opposition’s movement against Govt dies in Six months
ISLAMABAD, Nov 11 (EPI): Opposition’s movement Tehrik-e-Tahafuz-e-Ayien Pakistan started six months ago for protection of constitution of Pakistan has come to its end.
Five oppositions parties, including Pakistan Tehrik-e- Insaf (PTI), Pashtoon Milli Awami Party (PMAP), Sunni Ithad Council (SIC), Balochistan National Party Mangel (BNP) and Majlis-e-wahdatul Muslemeen had formed anti-government alliance six month back on 13 April during huge public gathering in Pashin Balochistan and conducted multiple gathering and conventions, however after 26th amendment, neither said movement called for any protest nor gathering.
Most surprisingly Chief of Tahreek-e-Tahafuz Ayien-e-Pakistan Mehmood Khan Achakzai is also silent till day.
Tahreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ayien-e-Pakistan was formed on one point agenda that was movement against electoral rigging and upholding the constitutional supremacy.
The movement started protests against massive rigging in general elections of 2024 but failed in securing desired outcomes, even on the eve of passage of 26th amendment, the opposition could not use said movement against government.
