NA Speakers pays Profound Tribute to innocent Martyrs of Army Public School

ISLAMABAD, Dec 15 (EPI): On the solemn anniversary of the tragic and heart-rending incident at Army Public School, Peshawar, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, paid rich tribute to the martyrs.

He stated that the horrific tragedy of December 16, 2014, stands as one of the darkest chapters in the nation’s history and will forever remain etched in the collective memory of the nation. He further emphasized that this deeply sorrowful event plunged the entire nation into grief and mourning.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq remarked that the sacrifices of the innocent students and teachers of Army Public School not only fortified the nation’s resolve against the scourge of terrorism but also united the entire country in the struggle to eradicate it. He stated that the martyrs of the Army Public School symbolize the nation’s unity and steadfast determination in the fight against terrorism.

The Speaker lauded the fortitude and resilience demonstrated by the parents of the innocent martyrs, who endured the profound loss of their beloved children with remarkable courage and determination. He reaffirmed the commitment of Parliament to play an effective role in combating terrorism through comprehensive legislation.

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, also extended his heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of Army Public School on this occasion. He remarked that the memory of the martyrs remains vivid in the hearts of the nation.
